The middle brother of the railgun family. It does the same damage to shields as both the 100mm and 200mm versions, and less armor damage than the 200mm version. Its range, as with all railguns, is excellent, but it fires rather slowly and is quite heavy, making it a poor close-combat weapon.

Best used at long range and in combination with missiles, EMP Torpedoes or 100mm railguns, which are all useful for quickly demolishing shields.

The 150mm Railgun has the highest armor damage per second of any railgun. Although the 200mm Railgun has a higher armor damage per shot, its longer reload time negates this advantage.

Installing a 150mm Railgun decreases the top speed of one's ship by one unit.

All versions of the railgun are forward-arc turrets (e.g. they can fire at any target in a 45° arc of the bow).
